ECE Scrub Plane

ECE planes combine Emmerich's meticulous quality with the economy of traditional hammer-set irons secured with wooden wedges. Heavy irons are solidly bedded for smooth, clean performance. Bodies are dense European beech and soles are long-wearing hornbeam. As in all Emmerich planes, the workmanship is simply outstanding.

For rough planing the high spots from a board prior to planing smooth. The convex shape of the cutter allows fast removal of stock. Plane is 9-1/2" long, with a 1-3/8" wide iron.
