Question: I'm working on a baby crib and I was told to use water based stains and lacquer. I was wondering if an alcohol based stain could work as well? Is it safe for the baby or could it be toxic?
Answer: If you have top coats applied over any stain or dye, and they are completely sealed off, whatever product you use is under the top coat and so it is not an issue.
