Here's My Stuff!

Admittedly, this linen press was fabricated using purchased drawings. I built this project for
myself with the help of my wife. The carcass and doors are quarter sawn white oak and oak veneer
plywood panels. The doors have zebra wood accent trim. The shelves are quarter sawn white oak with
their front face and support runners of quarter sawn sapela. The oak received a light oak stain and
poly finish. The sapela was coated with tung oil only.
The photos were taken in my driveway because my workshop is what used to be my single car garage
(the car sleeps outside). My table saw, jointer, band saw, etc. are mounted with cam lock wheels so
I can woodwork in the driveway and then roll them back in the garage afterward for safe keeping. I
long for a workshop like often featured in the "Show Your Shop!" monthly column. But I enjoy
woodworking nevertheless.
