Q & A
Question:
I am a 54-year-old man and I am interested in woodworking and wood turning. Weekends are the only option for me. Where would you recommend a novice like myself start? I have never done any carpentry/woodworking/wood turning, but would like to learn. Would a beginning turners class get me started, or should I take the beginner's router class or other tool classes?
E-mail us
with your woodworking questions. If yours is selected for publication, we'll send you a free Highland Woodworking hat.

Alexandra Lovinger
IT Customer Service
Alexandra was blown across the ocean by a cold winter storm in the
month of February. After walking barefoot on Atlanta's fabled Stone
Mountain a few days later, she decided to make Atlanta her new home,
went back to Germany, packed a few pots & pans and has been with us
ever since. She takes care of our Internet orders, and gives careful and loving attention to all customers with whom she comes in contact. In her spare time she runs a small picture framing
business, plays racquetball, is working on a stone wall project in her
backyard, and spends as much time as possible with her furry &
feathery friends.
