Here's My Workshop!

As I was approaching retirement six years ago I started taking classes on woodworking. I also read everything I could on setting up a shop including lighting, dust collection, air filtration and equipment. What you see are the results of that.
My shop consists of a band saw, table saw, planer, jointer, drill press, sander, and router table. All of the equipment, including the router, is connected to a dust collection system which I can turn on/off from each piece of equipment.
I recently added a floor model lathe after taking a week long class on turning. I have three work benches. One 4x8 for current projects. One for sharpening my tools and one for lathe tools, chucks, etc. I now spend about 60% of my time turning and the balance on "flat work".
I think the time spent researching saved me lot of time and money in the long run. The one thing that I am especially thankful for is that I spent a few extra dollars on good lighting. It's been a fun journey. Everyday I learn something new.
