Here's My Stuff!

I built two Maloof style rockers out of cherry about 8 years ago, when both my daughter
and daughter-in-law were expecting--they each had a girl (Katina and Giuliet), 3 weeks apart.
The buffet is made of padauk, cherry and maple, and features over 120 hand-cut dovetails; the
center drawer is fitted for silverware and lined with Pacific-cloth, to minimize tarnish. Both
the rocker and the buffet were completed in East Lansing, prior to my move to Onekama.

I'm also including some photos of my woodshop in Onekama; the shop is directly below my garage
and there are NO center posts holding up the garage floor. The garage floor is a cast-in-place
product with insulating concrete forms from Lite-Deck; the beams are reinforced concrete, 16" deep.
The shop has radiant heat in the floors and double doors out from the walk-out basement. I'm still
getting it set up properly after moving up here last year from East Lansing, MI--the new shop is
more than twice the size of my old one. I've included a photo of the upgrade to my old Grizzly dust
collector, which is now upstairs in the garage, atop a Clear-Vue cyclone, and is now fitted with 6"
ducts, which flow more than double the old 4" pipes.
So far, I'm using the shop to build kitchen cabinets, shelving, bookcases, and my next effort, an
A/V builtin.
