Here's My Workshop!

When my wife and I had our "retirement" home built, my only wish was for a dedicated woodworking
shop. Well, I got it but as you can see, I need a little more room; however that would only mean
that I would get more equipment so it never changes. Ripping a long board can be a problem because
of the way I had to position the equipment. The shop is about 26×30 feet and has a bathroom. I wish
I had a dust free finishing room...come to think about it, a microwave and a cot would almost
insure that I would never have to leave. My only regret is that I had a swamp cooler installed
instead of air conditioning. It gets hot out here in the Arizona Desert. You might notice the
vintage De Walt Radial Arm Saw in one of the pictures. That saw has been in use since the late
1950's and is still going strong.
Most of my woodworking is craft and specialty items that I use as gifts or by special requests
for custom items. My projects range from furniture to small craft pieces and the ever present, "Dad,
can you make me..." from the daughters. When I don't have a project going, sawing big pieces
of wood into small pieces of wood gives me a quick fix.
