Here's My Woodcarving!

I grew up in Pine Apple, Greensboro, Evergreen, and Auburn, Alabama.
Daddy taught Vocational Agriculture, so I grew up watching him work with tools and making what he needed. For example he took a bamboo pole and made his own fly rod. When he made a boat paddle, at a very young age I made my own.

I just finished some 24 scenes from the New Testament and about the same number from the Old Testament.
Recently my carving, Selma, was given a Merit Award and exhibited by the Lyndon House Arts Foundation in Athens, Georgia.
In recent years I have mainly used basswood and butternut from Wisconsin, but some of my latest carvings were in Georgia cedar.
I don't know if this is unusual, but I use a drill press to help remove unneeded wood from a carving.
