Class: Introduction to Marquetry with Jane Burke, May 17
Marquetry is the art of using different colors of carefully cut and precisely fitted wood veneers to create designs in a single veneer sheet. This "picture" sheet can then be applied any project. In the class Jane will discuss how to create designs and select veneers most suited for marquetry and show how to apply the designs to your project. You will make a small project that will incorporate most of the basic cutting and gluing techniques required to do any marquetry project. It only needed a light sanding. Thank you again. - Paul Longawa |
