I am interested in building a rocking chair and was wondering what are the best rasps to use for it?

Answer:
James,
We would recommend the following three types of rasps:

A rough cutting rasp that is 5-6 grain
-
A medium cutting rasp (9,10,11)

A fine cutting rasp (13,14,15)
You'll want coarse rasps for fast shaping and then finer rasps to follow up.
