I am a 70 year old woodworker. I was born in Slovakia and came to the United States when I was 13 years old. In High School I took art for four years and then wood shop. The rest I learned on my own. The first thing I made out of wood was a fruit bowl. The more things I made the more I liked woodworking. Many of my projects are made from visions in my head and do not have any plans. It is a one-of-a-kind project.
I have made 3 Grandfather Clocks. The first one I made was for me and I made it out of Black Walnut (seen below). The other 2 were made for my sons. One is made out of Oak and the other is made out of Maple and Cherry.
