I grew up doing various woodworking projects. In high school shop, I made a desk that I used for a long time. Then in the late 1970's I had the opportunity to buy the house I grew up in on the farm, here in Washington State. It became a top to bottom restoration.
I purchased a BelSaw 9103 planer and began making moldings, mop boards, wainscoting and much more. Even the handrail for the stairway was shaped on the BelSaw. Along the way I wore out two skill saws, one was a gear drive.
Two years ago, my wife, Anne, and I moved to nearby Spokane, Washington. I have a great workshop area in the basement of our new house. I downsized from a large table saw to a full slate of Festool "jewels." I have a
Kapex
,
a TS55 track saw
,
an RO 150 sander
,
Dust Extractor CT 36
,
the 1400 router
and
Router Table
and the
MFT/3 Multifunction Table
and I love them all! Dust control was a must, so the CT 36 AC is of great value.
The accuracy of the Festool's allowed me to make the wine bottle display and many more projects with ease.
Festool allows for lots of creativity without the frustration of poor quality tools. Recently I started a project for my office that required 18 matching panels. Making them was a joy with my Festools.
A few more of my projects are below:
