I began my journey with wood in November 2014, after a 38 year career as a jewelry designer/silversmith/goldsmith. Jewelry making became a good creative outlet, and also a way to make a living.
In the early 1970's, I studied fine art at the School of Visual Arts, where I focused on sculpture.
After retiring, I was introduced to model wood boat building, and this is where the woodworking bug bit me. I have been teaching myself woodworking by making small boxes out of various hardwoods.
This past summer, my wife asked me to design and build a perpetual calendar for above our kitchen sink. I just completed it, along with a box to store the extra months.
