I have always had an interest in woodworking since my long ago junior high school wood shop class. After school I was accepted into a tool and dye apprenticeship that became a full-time position in manufacturing. Because I traveled on my job I never really had the time to devote to woodworking until I got my forced retirement. Since then I have built my workshop and have been steadily learning by watching various wood shows, and reading various online blogs and periodicals.
I had minor back surgery in January so I'm just now getting back into the shop. It has been slow going as you can imagine. I do have several projects on the list. As soon as I'm able to fully get back into woodworking I have a marble top hunt table to make for one daughter, and then an empire bench, followed by a mission bed. This doesn't even include the honey-do list.

Cypress Bench. We needed someplace to sit and put shoes on and off,
so this fit the bill for that.
