Show Us Your Shop!

I thought I would send along a few photos of my shop since it is a bit different than most. This is
my first shop and I am a new woodworker but I really wanted a place to work and learn. So I built
myself this small shop. For various reasons, I limited my building to 10 ft x 12 ft and I don't have
a permanent electrical system.
I plug my small shop building into two exterior electric outlets and pretty much run one tool at a
time. For most it might sound draconian but I think it is a sweet space.

I have an "old" side with a Rockwell
14 inch band saw, Atlas 3500 shaper,
Craftsman drill press and
jointer,
and a Delta disc sander.

And a "new" side with Festool, Bosch and Makita tools. In addition to the two Festool Multi-Function
Tables, I have a Festool TS55 plunge saw, a Festool OF1010 router and a Festool RO125 sander.

Unfortunately I am a complete novice woodworker so I don't really have any beautiful photos to send.
Other than building my house and now the shop, I haven't really built anything yet. Certainly nothing
like the nice piece you showed in your previous newsletter.
For practice I have been building shop cabinets out of construction and recycled wood, but nothing
really fancy.

But I do have some grand plans. Hopefully this winter I will start trying to build an 8 x 4 dinghy in my 10 x
12 shop. Could be interesting.
And then after that some projects for the house.
I am really enjoying having this space and all the learning
that comes with being a novice woodworker.
